1. Publication Ethics

Overview

Cytelix Press is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and scholarly integrity. Authors, editors, and reviewers are expected to conduct themselves in accordance with principles of honesty, transparency, fairness, and accountability throughout the publication process.

The journal follows internationally recognized ethical publishing practices and takes all allegations of misconduct seriously.

Responsibilities of Authors

Authors are expected to ensure that submitted manuscripts:

·Present original work that has not been previously published and is not under consideration elsewhere.

·Accurately report research methods, data, and findings.

·Properly acknowledge the contributions and work of others through appropriate citation and attribution.

·Comply with applicable ethical, legal, and regulatory requirements.

·Disclose any relevant conflicts of interest and sources of funding.

·Cooperate with editors in responding to requests for clarification, correction, or investigation when necessary.

Responsibilities of Editors

Editors are responsible for:

·Evaluating submissions based on scholarly merit, originality, relevance, and ethical compliance.

·Ensuring a fair, unbiased, and confidential review process.

·Managing potential conflicts of interest appropriately.

·Taking reasonable steps to address allegations of misconduct, ethical concerns, or publication errors.

·Making editorial decisions independently and without improper influence.

Responsibilities of Reviewers

Reviewers are expected to:

·Identify relevant published work that has not been cited where appropriate.

Authors are expected to ensure that all submitted manuscripts represent original work and appropriately acknowledge the contributions of others.

Definition of Plagiarism

Plagiarism includes, but is not limited to:

·Copying text, ideas, data, images, figures, or other materials without proper attribution.

·Presenting another person’s work as one’s own.

·Improper or misleading paraphrasing of previously published content.

·Using unpublished materials without authorization or acknowledgment.

·Self-plagiarism, redundant publication, or duplicate submission without appropriate disclosure.

Plagiarism may occur in any part of a manuscript, including text, figures, tables, supplementary materials, and data presentations.

Similarity Screening

Submitted manuscripts may be screened using plagiarism-detection software as part of the editorial assessment process.

Similarity reports are evaluated by editors on a case-by-case basis. A high similarity score does not automatically indicate plagiarism, and a low similarity score does not necessarily exclude it. Editorial decisions are based on the nature, extent, and context of the overlap.

Handling of Suspected Plagiarism

When plagiarism or inappropriate text reuse is suspected, the journal may:

·Request clarification from the authors.

·Require revision, correction, or proper attribution.

·Reject the manuscript.

·Initiate an investigation in accordance with the journal’s ethical policies.

·Retract a published article when necessary.

Author Responsibilities

4. Authorship Policy

Overview

Cytelix Press recognizes authorship as an important indicator of scholarly contribution and responsibility. Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made substantial intellectual contributions to the research and publication of a manuscript.

All listed authors share responsibility for the integrity and accuracy of the published work.

Authorship Criteria

To qualify for authorship, an individual should have made significant contributions to one or more of the following:

The corresponding author is responsible for:

Acknowledgements

Individuals who contributed to the research but do not meet the criteria for authorship should be acknowledged appropriately.

Examples may include technical assistance, administrative support, language editing, or general supervision. Authors should obtain permission from acknowledged individuals before including their names.

Changes in Authorship

Requests to add, remove, or reorder authors after submission must be submitted in writing and include a clear explanation for the proposed change.

Any authorship modification requires the agreement of all listed authors and any individuals affected by the change.

The journal reserves the right to request additional documentation when necessary.

Authorship Disputes

Authorship disputes should be resolved by the authors and their institutions whenever possible.

The journal may suspend editorial consideration or publication while a dispute is being investigated and reserves the right to take appropriate action in accordance with its ethical policies.

Policy Compliance

Cases involving inappropriate authorship practices, including guest authorship, gift authorship, ghost authorship, or other forms of authorship misconduct, may be investigated under the journal’s Research Misconduct Policy.

5. Conflict of Interest Policy

Authors, reviewers, editors, and editorial staff must disclose any relationships, activities, or interests that could reasonably be perceived as influencing their professional judgment or the integrity of the publication process.

Author Disclosure Requirements

Authors must disclose all relevant conflicts of interest that may be associated with the submitted work.

A Conflict of Interest Statement should be included in the manuscript at the time of submission.

If no conflicts of interest exist, authors should include the following statement:

“The authors declare no conflict of interest.”

Disclosure of a conflict does not necessarily prevent publication but allows readers, editors, and reviewers to evaluate the work with appropriate transparency.

Reviewer Responsibilities

Reviewers must disclose any conflicts of interest that could affect their ability to provide an objective and impartial assessment. Reviewers should decline invitations to review manuscripts where a significant conflict of interest exists.

Editor Responsibilities

Editors and editorial staff must recuse themselves from handling manuscripts when a conflict of interest may compromise, or appear to compromise, impartial editorial decision-making.

In such cases, editorial responsibility will be assigned to another qualified editor.

Failure to Disclose

Failure to disclose relevant conflicts of interest may result in editorial action, including:

·Requests for correction or clarification.

·Publication of a correction notice.

·Rejection of a manuscript.

·Retraction of a published article where appropriate.

·Other actions deemed necessary to protect the integrity of the scholarly record.

6. Human and Animal Research Ethics

Reporting Concerns

Reports should be supported by relevant information whenever possible and submitted to the editorial office for assessment.

Investigation Process

When concerns are raised, the journal may:

·Consult reviewers, editors, institutions, funding agencies, or other appropriate parties when necessary.
